For fifteen years the team at BetterLoanChoice has been helping people with good and bad credit get approved for personal loans. We do not make loans, and we do not make credit decisions. Instead, we attempt to match you with participating lenders who offer loans. We have spent time analyzing the lending marketplace and have learned which lenders can help you and who wastes your time.
We review your inquiry, and based on your self-reported score and our evaluation of your information, we then match you with the lender or lenders from our network who provide loans to borrowers with "good credit" (which is generally defined as a credit score of 600 or higher) who we believe may offer you a loan at a competitive rate. Lenders use many different scoring methods to evaluate your information, and the one you provide may not be the same one used by our participating lenders. If you are not accepted by a lender who provides a competitive rate, we will attempt to connect you with lenders who we believe are most likely to offer you a personal loan without regard to the rate or cost of the loan.
We review the information contained in your inquiry. Based on our assessment, we then match you with a lender or another loan matching site who we believe may be most likely to provide you with a loan offer. Although we will always match a customer with a lender, this does not mean you will receive a loan offer. When you are matched to a lender, we recommend that you review all of the information on our website that explains the disadvantages of high interest rate loans offered to you before you agree to the terms of the loan.
Our process is free to use, and we will never charge you a fee for using BetterLoanChoice.com. We are paid by participating lenders and through other offers on our website, including our separate credit monitoring service (see here for more information and terms and conditions for that service). For example, when you decide to take advantage of the 7 day trial of credit monitoring in order to obtain your credit score, you may incur a $1 fee along with membership fees unless you cancel your subscription. In other words, if you do not opt out of the credit monitoring service within the prescribed time, you will be charged a fee for the service at that time and on an ongoing basis until you cancel. Please note, however, that you are not obligated to obtain the credit monitoring service, or any service, to complete our form.
We know that shopping for a loan can hurt your credit score. Each time you enter your information the lender may pull your credit score. When this is done several times, your credit score may drop. We recognize that asking for your credit score in order to be matched with a lender is an important decision. This is why we offer two ways to do so: 1) to provide us with a recent credit score; or 2) to enroll in a 7 day trial of credit monitoring in order to obtain your credit score.
We want to assure you that we, here at BetterLoanChoice.com, will never pull your credit report. However, once you are matched with a lender, that lender may pull your credit report, which may result in lowering your credit score. Please carefully review the terms and conditions of your matched lender or lenders.
How much we help you is up to you. We enable an easy opt out system and if you choose that you do not want our promotional and informative emails you do not have to receive them. We want to help you, not bother you. Also, you may contact us anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
